If you cancel, here is what you pay and what you get back.
Agreed before work starts, so there are no surprises later.
Projects start with a 50% deposit and finish with the other 50%, as set out in the Terms of Service. This page says what happens to that money if a project stops.
01Before work starts
If you cancel within 7 days of paying the deposit and we have not started design or build work, the deposit is refunded in full, to the account it came from, within 7 business days.
02After work has started
The deposit is not refunded once design or build work has begun, because it pays for time already spent. If you cancel part-way through, you pay for the work completed up to that point, and anything you paid beyond it is returned.
Everything finished and paid for up to the cancellation date is handed over, including the code, designs and any domain or hosting set up in your name.
03If we cannot deliver
If we cancel, or cannot deliver what was agreed, you get back everything paid for work that was not delivered.
04Fixes, not refunds, after launch
After launch, the 30-day warranty covers bugs against the agreed scope. We fix them at no cost. Changes of mind, new features and new pages are quoted separately and are not refundable once delivered.
05Domains, hosting and maintenance
Domain registrations and annual hosting are paid to third parties and are not refundable once purchased. Monthly maintenance can be cancelled at any time and stops at the end of the month already paid for.
